2017 Annual Campaign – February Update

Contributions were low during February. We are now at 41.8% of our goal for the year – only a 0.3% increase during the month. Our first fundraiser of the year is beginning this month – a 50/50 raffle with a big prize! We have 100 $100 tickets for sale for a $5,000 prize. Tickets will be available at the front desk of the Mel Leaman Free Clinic until all tickets are sold.

Please consider making a contribution to the Mel Leaman Free Clinic to help us provide high-quality, compassionate, free health care to the underserved in our community. Even the smallest donations have an impact!

The 2017 Annual Campaign supports our operating budget, necessary medical supplies, and new health care programs, including women’s health, dental hygiene, physical and occupational rehab, a new mobile medical unit, and more. Our total goal is $365,000, which will include funding we receive from annual partners such as the Virginia Association of Free and Charitable Clinics, the Virginia Health Care Foundation, Smyth County, and the Town of Marion.
